RaiseHQ LLC (“RaiseHQ”, “we”, “us”) operates the RaiseHQ political fundraising platform at theraisehq.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Campaign Information

When a campaign registers, we collect:

  • Contact information (name, email, address)
  • Organization information (committee name, FEC/state committee ID)
  • Payment information (processed via Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
  • Login credentials (managed by Clerk)

2.2 Donor Information

When a donor makes a contribution, we collect:

  • Personal information (name, address, email, phone)
  • Employment information (employer, occupation — required by law for contributions above applicable thresholds)
  • Payment information (processed by Stripe — we receive only card type and last four digits)
  • Attestation records (required legal certifications)

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

  • IP address (for fraud prevention and compliance)
  • Browser and device information
  • Usage data and analytics

3. How We Use Information

3.1 Campaign Information

  • To provide and improve the Platform
  • To process payments via Stripe Connect
  • To send service communications
  • To comply with legal obligations

3.2 Donor Information

  • To process political contributions
  • To provide contribution data exports that campaigns use with their compliance software
  • To send transaction receipts
  • To fulfill legal reporting requirements
  • Donor information is made available to the campaign that received the contribution and is not sold to third parties

4. Data Sharing

We share information with:

  • Stripe (payment processing) — subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy
  • Clerk (authentication) — subject to Clerk’s Privacy Policy
  • Campaigns — donor information is shared with the campaign that received the contribution
  • Legal authorities — when required by law or legal process

We do not sell personal information.

5. Political Contribution Disclosure

Political contributions and contributor information are subject to public disclosure requirements under applicable campaign finance laws. Information submitted through RaiseHQ may be included in public campaign finance reports filed with the FEC, FPPC, or other agencies.

6. Data Retention

We retain campaign and donor data for a minimum of 7 years to comply with applicable campaign finance record-keeping requirements.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information).

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for platform functionality. We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify registered campaigns of material changes.
